If mountains crumble to the sea, there would still be you and me! Oh yes, a great verse from the greatest influence of Rock & Roll, Led Zeppelin. I was lucky to grow up with Zeppelin, and was fortunate to see them perform post John Henry Bonham era, it still was a blast to be a part of.
The albums and songs that have moved us through some tough times and the good ole times. The lyrics, melody and energy were that of inspiration, movement, and a lot of feeling. My favorite is Jimmy Page and the song that moves me most, is a blues lick called “Since I been Loving You”. A fan fare of good blues soul and rhythm from the great genius.
I am not sure how many of us were born in the early 60’s? I know one thing, no matter how old we are, we were part of a great era of rock, and that my friend is special.
I am sure you have read rumors that Led Zeppelin may tour in the US. I read this after they performed a one time only concert at London’s O2 arena on December 10th 2007. Jimmy Page really would like to do one last tour, but Robert Plant is still struggling with it.
Their not getting any younger, and now is the time. Jimmy is 62 and the window for this event is getting smaller.

Yes! Zepplin. I also grew up listening to them along with Hendrix, Joplin & Iron Butterfly. I agree with you on Page my fav album (well actually cd) is being used as my flickr icon.
Zepplin still remains the same! Classic rock-I still have my warped water damaged Physical Graffit album! Not that I can play it - but thanks for the memories of high school, smoking lounges and dirty rock!
Oh man, I miss it so much!
Stairway to Heaven…
Moby Dick (drum solo).
Rock ‘n’ Roll, John Bohan’s best performance (in my opinion).
Immigrant Song.
But “The song remains the same”
I remember listening to my parents gripe about my music - “You kids don’t know what music is! When I was a kid, we had Glen Miller, Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman… That was music!”. I thought they were so out of touch. Now, the same words (almost) seem to escape my lips.
Zeppelin was *the* band. I saw them at Madison Square Garden in ‘77. It was one of the few concerts I was sober for, I wanted to remember it.
My brother and I had a band (he played bass, I played guitar). We *always* played Zep songs (RocknRoll, The Ocean, Good Times Bad Times, The Rover…) along with Cream, Hendrix, BadCo, Aerosmith.
Thanks for the memories! From the short story “Youth”, by Joseph Conrad: “Ah, Youth! Pass the bottle.”
