Do you Quantcast?

Quantcast

I know many web site owners utilize Alexa as their tracking vehicle. Quantcast is another great web information company that also provides various tools and web ranking statistics. I use both of these companies to measure my web sites analytics.

Quantcast rates over 20 million web sites and Alexa rates just over 16 million. Quantcast has a great free service called the Quantified Publisher program. This enables publishers to tag their sites and services for measurement. You can then gauge the actual reach, frequency and popularity of your websites, videos, widgets, games and more.

How does Quantcast collect data?

They collect data through affiliations with partners, who include advertisers, publishers, ISPs and advertising networks. All the data they collect is anonymous and contains no personally-identifiable information.

General Analytics:

  • Global Reach: 5,793

  • US Reach: 3,360

  • Rank: 339915
  • Monthly Page Views: 17,469
  • Monthly Uniques: 5,793

Quantcast provides many analytics such as web traffic, demographics, and geolocation. You have the ability to get vital information on gender, age, and so much more.

Easy to join! Get quantified with Quantcast!

I’ve never even heard of it, and I’ve been in website design and SEO for 2 years now. I need to get out more!

Thanks for sharing. I’ll get set up with it as soon as I get a chance to take a look. I really like that Passers-By to Addicts graphic.

Okay, so I’ve installed Quantcast on my site. Gonna take a while for my data to start tracking, but if it looks better than my Alexa than that’s what I’ll be using to quantify my traffic to potential advertisers. Let’s see if it’s worth it…

I came across this before, but never bothered to try it out since it requires me to embed a code.

Perhaps I should give it a try now aye?

Give it a try and than you can see much more stats and take averages.

Hey, how’s it going? I think it’s about time that I left a comment, I’ve been to your site more than a few times since getting EC. Great work.

Best of luck to you and your website,

    Richard from http://hedgeagainstspeculation.com

I’ve been using it for a while now on our site. I like the added stats that it provides and it is nice to have one more metric besides the alexa scale.
