Craigslist is a very well known web site that provides a lot of information. The problem with Craigslist is the forums. They’re over moderated and the regulars are a bunch of assholes.
The forum groupies can barely write a sentence or even spell. I categorize the regulars as lower middle class and barely have a high school diploma. It’s truly amazing that this site is so highly ranked. I guess it’s because the web site has history, and it has nothing to do with the quality or technology.

The appeal of CL isn’t some above-average brilliance of its users. It’s that its free and incredibly accessible. If you keep it simple and go there to advertise a product, service or just ask a question, you can likely find what you need.
But if you expect some quality interactions from something that is totally accessible to the best and the worst society has to offer, you’ll find that it’s populated mostly with the laziest and lowest levels of being that society has to offer.
It’s a gathering place for misfits and malcontents that doesn’t require them to jump through hoops to get, or remain, there.

My blog wasn’t bashing hard working people who do their best to contribute to society. I was bashing the morons who have nothing better to do than flag posts that have links to quality content. They’re truly the killers of the CL forums.

I do agree with the general message of your post, it was just that referring to them as `lower middle class` in a derogatory way could be regarded as insulting to quite a lot of people. I think the only reason I took offense was because of the way that sentence was constructed.
I don`t even have the luxury of being `middle class`. My father works as a prison officer, I`m a postman with Royal Mail. I just don`t like the way the class system seems to categorise people instantly by the tax bracket they are in. If there had been more money in my family when I was younger, I`d have my degree by now, instead, I`m working my back and knees into submission to get the money together.

Blogzilla, something tell me that you are just bitter because you have been unable to SPAM your blog on CL and people flag it off, which is what they should since doing that is against the TOU of CL. Quality Content doesn’t get flagged, SPAM gets flagged.
As far as your generalizations about the people on CL and in the forums, they are actually way off. Sure there are a few whack jobs, but most of the people in there posting are actually very educated, very smart and have many friends both on Cl and off CL, and some of them are even combined.
Stop spamming and maybe you won’t have such an issue with the boards, hell, you even have a username and have been posting there for more than 90 days since you were able to spam this exact post in multiple forums that require registration, but yet you chose to hide your handle from people.
