I am always excited to see my ranking move up in the Alexa ranking. Alexa updates on a regular bases every 4 1/2 days, however this update is going into day 8. This is not a bad thing as your site is still receiving traffic each day.
Alexa has been a great tool for me to measure not only my site, but other sites. It allows me to see what sites I want to advertise on based on that sites ranking. The add-on Sparky is a must have for any blog site that is looking to advertise on other web sites. More on add-ons below.
Add-ons
Alexa the “Web Information Company” has been around for a long time (1996). I recommend that you download “Sparky” at Alexa. This will show you every sites ranking you browse to. The add-on is free and is located in your browser status bar and it’s non-intrusive with your web browsing.

I received an email the other day about this new online service that provides free job leads for PC Techs and TV Techs. The enrollment is free for a limited time as well as the background check. I took the liberty in browsing their site to obtain more information, and discovered they’re getting work orders from Sears/Kmart and one of the largest PC manufacturers in the World.
How does it work?
A customer who needs service has a service order entered into the market place (ServiceLive.com). A service provider gets the service order based on location and skill. The provider pays only 10% of the total cost of labor to ServiceLive. I even dug deeper to try to get more information on why they need so much information from a provider in order to be a ServiceLive provider.
Conclusion:
I registered with ServiceLive and it only took me 45 minutes to complete the registration application. My total cost was zero, zip, in order to receive additional opportunities for my business. At first I was hesitate about providing all my personal information, but found out there site is safe and they’re verified by Verisign.
This didn’t cost me a red cent and it could be a great source for additional revenue. As a business owner there’s no way I can turn down such a great opportunity!
Their site address is www.servicelive.com.

If mountains crumble to the sea, there would still be you and me! Oh yes, a great verse from the greatest influence of Rock & Roll, Led Zeppelin. I was lucky to grow up with Zeppelin, and was fortunate to see them perform post John Henry Bonham era, it still was a blast to be a part of.
The albums and songs that have moved us through some tough times and the good ole times. The lyrics, melody and energy were that of inspiration, movement, and a lot of feeling. My favorite is Jimmy Page and the song that moves me most, is a blues lick called “Since I been Loving You”. A fan fare of good blues soul and rhythm from the great genius.
I am not sure how many of us were born in the early 60’s? I know one thing, no matter how old we are, we were part of a great era of rock, and that my friend is special.
I am sure you have read rumors that Led Zeppelin may tour in the US. I read this after they performed a one time only concert at London’s O2 arena on December 10th 2007. Jimmy Page really would like to do one last tour, but Robert Plant is still struggling with it.
Their not getting any younger, and now is the time. Jimmy is 62 and the window for this event is getting smaller.

Contests are great, don’t get me wrong. I think there’s too much on Entrecard that simply are regurgitated. It’s important to be more creative, and unique to increase your traffic potential. It’s the same old contests, 200 EC’s if you link to my site, 200 EC’s for joining this or that. It’s getting tired folks, and I know a lot of you agree.
I am very much into analytics from many different channels. I have written blogs on a few adverts based on my test results.
In the last week I tried a different approach and I am not taking full credit for, but I added a twist. I use a title that is unique and creates curiosity without spilling the entire campaign in the title. You may have seen such posts in the Entrecard Forums, “No contest, no disco, just traffic”. The average post received up to 8 replies, and those who were giving out EC’s for comments, subscribing or linking, have received no more than 2 replies on average. Are you getting the point?
Be creative, and reciprocate at all times. Take the initiative to drive traffic. I know there’s a ton of blogs on how to be a successful blogger and have a traffic driven blog site.
One site really hits a home run on originality. The site I am speaking of is Linkfog.com. They’re running the all new Entreball drawing based on the Powerball Lottery. It runs twice per week. For more information visit the site today or click here.
Now let’s all drop, stumble, and not fall!
